I solved it
I added in the directory of the game/Illarion/Illarion.cfg the line
displayColorDepth16=1
Now i have a problem with how to generate a charcter . I'll read more

Hi, I get the error "Unable to find screen display mode: 1024x768 at 32" Which is pretty obvious, since X don't support alpha channel, therefore, it is 24 bit color depth. I'm running 1600x1200 at 24 bit, and is able to run 1024x768 at 24 bit aswell. Referring to the readme in the install...
