Vocations Legend We have thought about the things that should be integrated into Illarion in the past, but when a project runs over several years, people are joining and leaving the development team and many players contribute ideas, you can't have a strict planning. Contents General - Right now the only profession system we have is the technical limitation, that one can only practice magic or brew potions.
- We don't want to limit the roleplaying with the profession system too much. If someone wants to play a magic using fighter, he should be able to do so, but he should also have a good justification. Therfore we can't implement a strict profession system. In the begining every character should have equal learning chances in every aspect. Once he decides for a profession, he will learn faster in some areas and slower in others. This creates a typical profile for this profession, but still enables you to play a special kind of character.
- In general every profession can learn any trade of magic (magic, potion brewing, priests prayers and bard magic). He can not learn all runes/herbs/prayers/melodies though. He must decide for a subset, which size depends on his intelligence/intelligence/will power/dexterity.
