[edit] 1 Siros

The summer's first month Siros is the month of Sirani. It consists 24 days and is said to by the month of love, wedding ceremonies and declaration of marriage intents.

[edit] 1.1 Festival of Bonding

In Salkamar and Gynk people celebrate a celebration of binding or faithfulness on the 12th Siros, and many weddings are held on this day or at least within the Siros. Generally, every people has different ways to celebrate weddings. ((The german article has more details.))

[edit] 2 Ronas

Ronas is the month of Ronagan. It consists 24 days and is said to be the month of generosity, often used for public donations and feedings of the poor.

It is rumored that there are secret meetings of Ronagan followers – thief guilds – in towns of Gynk, Salkamar and Albar, but this rumor is unproven and has been told again and again over centuries.

[edit] 3 Bras

Bras is the month of Brágon. It consists 24 days and is said to be the month of immolations. The longest day in the year followed by the shortest night is the 24th of Bras.

[edit] 3.1 Feast of Fire

The Elves celebrate the "Feast of Fire" in the year's shortest night, in which on seas and in water basins small, carven wood pieces swim and carry many candles. In Salkamar and Gynk this night is celebrated with a long grill feast. In Albar, nobles usually celebrate with decadent feasts through the whole of Bras. To finance these, many albarian regions have a special tax enforced.

[edit] 4 Eldas

Eldas is the month of Eldan and the last one in the summer. It consists 24 often still hot days and is said to be the month of fasting. The Elves celebrate a time of medidation and reflection.

[edit] 4.1 Burrow Day

Halflings are usually known to celebrate quite often and for many reasons over the whole year, but no season is as good for celebrations as the late summer. The "Burrow Day" is a special commemoration day for them, celebrated in the last week of Eldas. It bears in remembrance the deprivations of the resistance at the time of the fall of Firnismill in the year -1777.

Especially in the countryside many Halflings do still celebrate these days in a quite traditional way. For the whole week they withdraw into the woods and spend the nights in self-made burrows or hollows. In this week they only feed upon the fruits of the forest. No fire is allowed to be lit. At the end of the week they return in a procession into their villages. Thereby a great clamor and noise is performed and the participants of the procession are armed, thus symbolizing the recapture of the areas sized by the Orcs. Nowadays in the towns and with Halflings of the upper class it has become common practice to stay this week in tents erected in the garden or the inner courtyard of their houses. There sometimes even meat dishes are served but they are decorated in the form of fruits and mushrooms.
