[edit] 1 Reporting bugs and filing requests
If you see something wrong or want something changed on the site that editors cannot do, there's admins here to help. When it is something related to the wiki code ask a wikidev or post it on one of the pages below.
When reporting a bug, be sure to give at least one example of the erratic behavior. This not only makes it easier to identify the problem, but also lets us check if the issue has been resolved correctly, rather than asking you to verify.
Bug reports should go to Project:Bugs and requests should go to Project:Requests.
Examples of bugs to report: missing translations in the source code, skin bugs, database errors and parser errors, etc..
[edit] 2 Next update
The first update since a long time seemed to be a success. It soon will be time to enhance the wiki a bit more and fix some minor and major problems from the first update.
[edit] 2.1 Planned features
- New extensions, surprise surprise
- Disable (not remove) Polyglot
- Wikidev user group to ease things up for the Illarion devs
- Minor changes to last update such as auto-number headings by default and reCaptcha.
- Guild: and Character: namespaces to make a difference in Illarion content and often changing community content, but also to solve misunderstandings in e.g. towns & guilds or NPCs & Player Characters.
- Do not create pages in those namespaces before the update, this will cause trouble!
Feature Requests must not be posted here but on the Requests page.
[edit] 3 1 April, 2008
On April 1st, 2008, Illapedia's source code was updated. (No joke)
This page details what still has to be done and aims to answer any questions you may have regarding the current situation.
[edit] 3.1 Features
The update comes with several new features.
- New skin (still in its early stages, suggestions welcome).
- Numerous useful extensions.
- New Language Management System (See: Help:Languages)
- reCAPTCHA to fight spam. Only shows up when: adding an external URL, creating a new page and some account related things. Does not bother you for new URLs when you have registered (and confirmed) your e-mail. This is to make sure you are not a bot. (See: Privacy policy)
- Some minor changes you will not notice immediatly (or at all).
