Brotherhood of Mercenaries

Greetings,

I first want to get one thing straight, so we are not accused. We are mercenaries, not assassins. We do not take jobs to kill. We take jobs to guard, fight upon one side in a war, and escort from point one to point two. We do not take jobs to kill.

This Brotherhood of mercenaries is a dieing breed. We carry few, but we grow in ranks as we train less trained mercenaries. Only full fledged Mercenaries agreed upon by all members of the Brotherhood can become part of the main force, otherwise they must keep training and take the lower level jobs.

How to request a job:
~ If you do not Wish to show your name and purpose, please send a dove, and i'll post the job to the mercenaries privately. Once one takes the job i will inform you privately aswell.
~ If you do not care for people to see your name, Please leave the post on this parchment and your reply will be left on this parchment aswell.
~ You can also request specific Mercenaries if you need a particular one. He can accept or refuse this offer, But we do not fight on two sides in a war.
~ The Price will be decided upon the severity of the job in question, ranging from 100 copper for low level jobs, to 20 silver for high-priority requests.

This brotherhood fights as one. We do not take sides against eachother, and if you wish us for a war, you can request which ones you want, and which ones you do not want. But the mercenary that is not wanted can not join the other side.

You have much to learn young lad. Take it from an old mercenary when i say this, mercenaries kill, tis one of our main purposes. You are making the mercenaries into something thier not. Do not confuse mercenaries for good doers, we are impartial in all matters untill one pays us not to be. You are young yet, you still have much to learn.

To the Brotherhood,

I am a simple merchant who is considering expanding his trade routes to far away lands. I seek two able bodied Mercenaries to accompany me and protect my body and business during these troublesome times.

The Job (#1): Every week, two mercenaries (May be any two of the brotherhood available) shall accompany me for about 8 hours ((4-5 hours RL on a Sunday)) as I trade in various towns.
They may be relieved by others of the brotherhood if needed or available, but work that out amongst yourselves. They must posess all equipment needed for their service. I will supply transportation.

While they are in my service, they may train (Perfect for a Master and apprentice?), trade, anything they wish, as long as they stay within eyesight of me and respond promptly in an emergency.

For this monotonous service, I shall be willing to pay 400 coppers to the brotherhood to be distributed as you see fit.

If all goes well, this will be a regular, weekly job for your Brotherhood. In the future, I will also be posting one-time jobs as I seek to explore Gobiath further than I am able to now. The Brotherhood could not have been formed at a better time for me to use a service such as this.

The date to begin this Job will be posted soon. I am still in Preparations.

Sorry for the short notice, but I have just concluded preparations.
As I posted earlier, I shall need two able bodied warriors for 'escort service'. They will need to start in Tol Vanima, at the elven city of Vanima, Groundfloor at the 0th hour, 3rd of Tanos. ((4pm GMT Sunday July 24th)) and will need to escort me to various places until the 13th hour ((8:30pmGMT)) when we will finish in Greenbriar. Transportion will be provided during hours, however equipment will not.

For this service, the above mentioned pay of 400 coppers to the brotherhood as well as premium pricing from "Dusty Markets" that day.

This will more than likely, be a weekly service. Please arrange the two among yourselves.

I don't know what happened this weekend, but I didn't see anybody from the brotherhood for the job. Perhaps it was my fault for the short notice. After an nearly fatal incident in TrollsBane for one of my customers, I still require your services.

One-Time Job (#2):
This week, I would like to hire three warriors to escort me north of TrollsBane ((Wednesday or Thursday 9am CST, 2pm GMT, 4pmCET)). One must know the location of the 'Elven Teacher'. After conducting several trades in Tol Vanima this weekend, I had much difficulty understanding my hosts and some customers. It would be prudent and good business practice to learn a little of their language. Even basic Elvish is better than none at all. I have heard tell of a 'teacher' somewhere to the North. I know it is very dangerous territory for one of my stature, and hence I need a guide and escort. How much for this service?

I have good news!

The job has changed. I have found the teacher with the aid of Chief Gra'able and Karguk. I had the honor of being escorted by them to the teacher and we got to talk more about the Orcs of the Mountain.

New Job (#3):
Now, I need one warrior to patrol the whole of Briar island south of Greenbriar and report what you find. During the month of Mas there were rumors of a strange poisonous gas there and several warriors died. I have not heard anything from there since, and I need to know it is safe for my countrymen in Greenbriar as well as visitors there. For this task, I have set aside 3 silvers. It is a task I would rather not do myself. Thank you.
