Welcome to the world of Illarion! llarion is a free, graphical fantasy game that focuses on true roleplaying. Come and join the world of Illarion. You'll fully emerse yourself in the world of Illarion, as though your character is a real being. All characters around you will behave themselves like real beings in this independent, mysterious world. They'll tell you about magicians, ghosts, and fairies in some of the most unbelievable stories and rumours. Pick a race you would like to play: human, dwarf, halfling, elf. Maybe an orc? Or even a lizardman? Please don't expect experience points or other numbers inside the game which reveal your skills. Just follow the role you want to play, then you will notice wether you will become a great warrior, fighting against the various evil creatures of Illarion, or the most respected master smith of the town, or even the most popular barkeeper - because practice makes perfect. Druids and magicians will cast mysterious spells with herbs and runes. In addition to all of this each race speaks with it's own language, but all are able to speak the common language of Illarion to make themselves understood. We are offering our own server, a Java client (which can be used at Linux or Windows) and the guarantee that you will never ever pay anything for this game. To ensure this we founded a registered society and its became contractual in the statute. Illarion is online since Februrary 2000 and it's always being developed by programers and volunteers to fit and satisfy the wishes of the player community. Even you can't resist the magic of this world! | | | | | | Map of Illarion | | Map of Gobaith | |
NewsDruid UpdateCurrently we're adjusting the game server for the introduction of the new druid system. One of the more important technical changes involves the druidic plants, which from this point will have individual quality values. The plant's quality value will effect the quality of potions that could be made from it. Unfortunately, as a side effect of this change, these plants will no longer be stackable in your inventory.
Since this change will disadvantage those who collect many plants for reasons other than crafting alchemical potions, we've implemented the ability for players to 'dry' plants on wooden plates. Drying plants in this way will lower the quality of the plants to the same low level, making them stackable. In that state they'll be able to be used for all previous uses without any difficulties, however their use in potions will be hindered by their low quality.
Each wooden plate can only be used to store one kind of plant. In later updates wooden plates will be replaced with a reed basket, which we unfortunately at this point don't have the graphic for. To store the plant use it with the plate. Afterwards just use the plate to remove any plants from the plate.
Any further changes caused by the new druid system will be added to the news when needed. We apologize in advance for any unexpected changes that may occur as a result of the new druid system. written by Falk on 01/05/2009 09:42am
Balancing the fighting systemToday there was a small update that put some fixes at the fighting system in place. Beside of the fixing of major calculation misstakes (heavy armors made you hitting faster), the effect of the armors and weapons got increased. The difference between weapons and armors should be visible alot more now.
Have fun trying the changes and I hope to get some feedback related to this update. written by Nitram on 12/29/2008 08:53pm
